A power outage affecting portions of the Ridge corridor was reported late yesterday afternoon, leaving several buildings without electricity for an extended period.

According to municipal services, the outage impacted select residential blocks and public facilities, including the church, library, and hospital. Backup systems were activated where available. No cause has been formally identified.

The church opened its doors during the outage, offering hot food and temporary shelter. Hospital operations continued under generator power, with nonessential services reduced. The library closed early and secured materials according to standard procedures.

Power was restored gradually overnight. Normal operations resumed this morning.

Officials stated that no further action is required at this time.
